Participants from certain countries do need to apply for visa prior to their departure to Brazil. Please find below, if you fit into that category.

The following countries are supposed to apply for visas prior to their entries in Brasil:
Angola, Armenia, Australia, Cabo Verde, Canada, China, Cuba, El Salvador, United States, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Japan, Lebanon, Malta, Mexico, Mozambique, Nicaragua, São Tomé e Príncipe and Siria.

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Equador, Paraguai, Peru, Uruguai and Venezuela do not need visas at all, just a valid ID card.

The bearers of passports from these countries, do not require visas provided that their stay do not exceed 90 days:
South Africa, Bahamas, Barbados, South Korea, Costa Rica, Croatia, Philipines, Guatemala, Guiana, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, Israel, Macau, Malaysia, Morroco, Namibia, Norway, New Zealand, Panama, Russia, Switzerland, Suriname, Thayland, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, as well as countires from the EEU.
